Group Events
Schedule
We plan on having a range of events for our members and are open to any of your suggestions. We are focusing on fine art and would appreciate your thoughts on whom we can invite to meet with us, whose studios we can visit, galleries or museums that we should see, clubs or venues that would be interesting.
If you have a suggested guest, location or topic that you would like to have WAC consider having as part of studio time, a business meeting or a field trip, please submit the suggestion with any details that you may have.
Here is what we have planned so far but please visit here often as we enter more activities for our members.

Also, on one of the open studio days, Mark Douglas, an Art Club Member, will demonstrate how to make and use a quill from an eagle feather then you may make your own. Members may also participate in creating their own feather brush that they can use with the homemade nut oil that Mark will provide. Fee, if any, TBD.

Kari Roslund at the April Business Meeting
As an artist, my work is deeply rooted in the tactile qualities of natural fibers. Growing up in Woolrich, Pennsylvania, I developed a profound appreciation for wool, which deepened when we raised a small flock of our own.
I now work with raw fleeces, hand-dyed locks, and roving from various fibers like Alpaca, Angora, Llama, and silk, transforming them into vibrant, lustrous tones. This process creates contemporary tapestries with a three-dimensional element.
